History
As early as the 1940s, people were running along the Breda canals. After the 1950 race, the street run disappeared from the city for a long time. Years later, the running event returned with a 10-mile course that led from the athletics track at Sprint through the Mastbos.

Inspired by successful street runs in The Hague, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam, a group of initiators decided to breathe new life into the Breda Singelloop. In 1986, the time had come: 1,273 runners appeared at the start of the half marathon. It marked the beginning of a beautiful development that continues to this day.
